A UBC research and outreach group is hosting a free public screening of The Mask You Live In, a documentary that challenges viewers to redefine traditional masculinity, alongside a panel discussion featuring Sauder Professor Jennifer Berdahl.
The panel will be discussing what masculinity means today and how it relates to men's health. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Paul Gross, medical director and co-founder of the DUDES Club. Panelists include:
Professor Jennifer Berdahl, Sauder School of Business;
Douglas Todd, Vancouver Sun;
Kyra Borland-Walker, UBC Speakeasy;
Dr. David Kuhl, Men's Transition Program.
Berdahl is the Montalbano Professor of Leadership: Gender and Diversity at Sauder where she leads the Gender and Diversity in Leadership Initiative.
Early arrivals to the event will get free popcorn and drinks. The screening is hosted in partnership by the Men's Depression and Suicide Network, funded by the Movember Foundation, Speakeasy, and the Crisis Centre.
