ABOUT THE EVENT:

The Sauder Business Club of Vancouver, in partnership with the UBC Faculty of Law, presents Foodie for Thought, featuring four speakers from Sauder and four from Law who will share innovative and entrepreneurial stories of transforming the food and beverage industry.

The featured Sauder graduates are Jordan Cash, founder of Vancouver’s trendy Cartems Donuterie; Tim Yu, who transformed UBC’s Koerner’s Pub into a stylish and popular gastropub; Jennifer Martin, who took an artisanal approach to the beverage business to set up SIP Soda Co.; and Emma Smith, who founded Zimt Artisan Chocolates – which are vegan and fair trade – at age 22.

In the “pecha kucha-style” format, each speaker will present 20 images and discuss each of them for 20 seconds. As guests will be not only inspired, but certainly hungry as well, there will be a networking reception featuring local food and drink.
