Meet one of the 10 most cited authors in the field of marketing

Professor William L. Wilkie, the Nathe Professor of Marketing at the University of Notre Dame, is one of the ten most cited authors in the field of marketing over a recent quarter-century period, and has been named as one of 28 thought  leaders in marketing , authors whose work has shifted thinking in the field.

During his lecture, 2014 Pollay Prize recipient Prof. Wilkie will discuss the vastness of the field of marketing, the benefits it brings to society, and the criticism it receives.

Prof. Wilkie’s award-winning academic research centers on marketing in society and consumer behaviour. In 2012, the American Marketing Association recognized him by inaugurating a "William L. Wilkie 'Marketing for a Better World' Award" to be presented annually to leading marketing thinkers. Prof. Wilkie has also received the American Marketing Association's highest recognition, the Distinguished Marketing  Educator Award, as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award from the AMA's Marketing and Society Special Interest Group, the special President's Award from the University of Notre Dame, and the BP/Amoco Outstanding Teacher Award, voted by Notre Dame's graduating senior class.

Richard W. Pollay Prize

Awarded annually by the Sauder School of Business at UBC, the Pollay Prize is named for Sauder Professor Emeritus Richard Pollay in honour of his contributions as a scholar, teacher and advocate in the areas of marketing and advertising in the public interest.
