The Shanghai Summer Program is a five-week intensive program that provides participants the unique opportunity to network with professionals and gain knowledge of culture and business practices in Hong Kong and Shanghai. The program is offered in collaboration with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).
Shanghai Jiao Tong University, directly under the administration of the Ministry of Education, is a key university of China and a higher educational institution given top priority in its projects by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipality. SJTU was founded in 1896 and is one of the oldest universities of science and engineering in China. Over the past hundred years, SJTU has educated a large numbers of talented people, including a group of outstanding social activists, well-known scientists, engineers, specialists and professors. SJTU has made significant contributions to the revitalization of the nation, the development of science and technology, and the well-being of mankind. Among the famous and outstanding alumni is Jiang Zemin, the Secretary General of CPC and the President of the People's Republic of China.
Since 1998, each summer students have taken advantage of this unique learning opportunity to discover both Hong Kong and Shanghai, China.
