James Noble is a Climate Analyst for Sauder S3i and focuses on the low carbon economy. James brings diverse experience and expert knowledge to the Sauder S3i team with over 10 years of legal, leadership and consulting experience. James has worked in the field of energy and environment since 2007, having advised companies on the influence of environmental policy on financial markets, launched research and analytics products, and secured long-term contracts with large industrials, financial institutions and government in order to educate and better position those organizations in the international carbon marketplace. Prior to writing for Sauder S3i, he worked at Bullfrog Power, a green energy retailer; Offsetters, a carbon management firm and offset developer; and Point Carbon, a provider of news and analysis for global energy, gas and carbon markets. Before his involvement in environmental finance, James worked at a leading political consulting firm, as a staffer on a Presidential campaign, and in the legal departments at two of the world’s largest aerospace companies.
Mr. Noble holds an L.L.M in EU and International Trade Law; a Juris Doctor, with focus on Oil and Gas Law, from Washburn University School of Law and King’s College; and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Kansas.
