Sandip Basi

Title: Sauder S3i Graduate Intern (2012)

SandipBorn in Etobicoke Ontario, I grew up in the suburbs of Toronto.  After high school I attended York University. During my time at University I took an interest in finding practical solutions to pressing socio-economic problems. In my last year of University I took part in a work placement at the Ministry of the Attorney General Ontario, where I was able to evaluate an accessibility program in Ontario courts. After graduating with a Hons BA in Political Science, I moved to Vancouver to attend SFU’s Master of Public Policy (MPP) program. During my time in the MPP program I was given the opportunity to work on a host of different policy issues, including a report on youth homelessness in Vancouver for BC Housing.  I hope to continue addressing some of our generations most pertinent social issues as a policy or business consultant.
