Ramya Iyer

Title: Sauder S3i Graduate Intern (2010)


ramyaRamya is a Graduate Research Intern at Sauder S3i and is currently working on a First Nations Project for the forestry arm of the Haida Enterprise Corporation. She is an MBA Candidate at the Sauder School of Business, UBC, specializing in Strategic Management. She serves as the Vice President of Internal Affairs on the MBA Society Executive Council.

Ramya holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai, India. At college, she was actively involved in extracurricular and co-curricular activities. She coordinated and participated in several college-level and inter-college festivals and competitions and was the Technical Advisor of the college chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). She also wrote an award-winning technical paper presented at a symposium of the Computer Society of India.

She worked for four years in the roles of an IT solutions developer and a business analyst in the hedge fund industry with expertise in international financial systems and project management. At work, she was also part of the cultural committee and was responsible for organizing events and for designing and sending out communications.
