13:45   Session 3 - Demystifying Impact Investing

Impact Investing has received a lot of attention and hype over its potential to benefit society and the environment while making a profit at the same time. Over half of the impact investing funds that exist today are less than two years old and funds are pouring into the sector.  But what is the reality of impact investing? What kind of problems can this funding model address, and can returns really be made while doing good or is an “impact bubble” on the horizon?  In this session, Dr. James Tansey, presents new findings from research by Sauder S3i that aims to answer these questions. A dialogue with investors and entrepreneurs follows.
