Founded in 1998, the Centre for Operations Excellence (COE) is an internationally recognized operations research (OR) centre based in the Operations and Logistics division of the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.
We are dedicated to providing value to business and academia through projects with industry and research on applied OR methods. We have published many research articles and completed over 100 industry projects with major corporations in nearly every business sector. Some of these projects have been featured in the national media and have won best practice awards at OR conferences.
We also administer the UBC Master of Management in Operations Research (MM in OR) program, a unique master's program that provides students with an advanced education in OR and the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in a professional business environment.
