Brian is a writer, business communications advisor, and teacher with 20 years' experience helping people communicate more effectively in support of their goals.  He has had substantial success working with individuals, small businesses, institutions, national and international companies.  He has taught writing and marketing at the post-secondary level since 2004 at the Emily Carr University of Art & Design, Continuing Studies and been a guest lecturer at B.C.I.T. and Kwantlen University College.

Brian enjoys teaching for the opportunity it provides to help people overcome barriers to writing well.  "I am always surprised to come across people who are extremely capable in other aspects of their lives who not only write badly (dull, confusing, misleading), but who believe they can never write better.  The consequences can be severe, in business and every other important aspect of life.  I have been able to help most of my students make substantial progress as writers in a relatively short period of time, producing work that is consistently clear, concise, confident, personable, and engaging."
