Frederick is a Lecturer in Law & Business Communications at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.  Frederick has over 23 years of business experience, during which he has held a number of high level managerial posts.  His work experience includes positions with Sybase, Synon (now IBM), NCompass (now Microsoft), and other high tech firms.  Frederick also worked as a Country Risk Analyst for California-based Wells Fargo Bank, and most recently performed consulting for New York-based strategic marketing firm Goodman & Company, where he collaborated on strategic marketing projects for Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to coming to Sauder, Frederick completed his PhD in Spanish literature at UBC, where he also taught Spanish and French in the language and literature program.  Frederick has a deep interest in language and literatures, and is fluent in several languages besides English.  Frederick did post graduate work in International Studies and Economics at the Universite de Paris (Tolbiac), UC Berkeley, and the University of New Mexico.
