Stephen Wong

Stephen is the chairman for the Chongbang Group in Shanghai and the MD for Chongbang’s parent company Edward Wong Development Co. Ltd., the wholly owned subsidiary of the Edward Wong Group (“The Group”) in Hong Kong. Based in Shanghai, Stephen is responsible for the overall planning, finance and operation, real estate investment and development activities.

Since the early 1990’s, Stephen has been the catalyst for The Group’s investments into China, U.S. and Canada. In Shanghai, China, The Group is one of the founding partners of the Chongbang Group, the Forrester Group, and one of the early investors/partners of the Shui On Land (now listed on the HK Stock Exchange). In the U.S. & Canada, The Group has been active in both investment and development activities on both the east coast and the west coast thru its wholly owned subsidiaries: The Atelier Group of Companies.

Currently, Stephen is a non-executive director for HSBC Bank (China) Company Ltd.; a member of the advisory board for the Stanford Sloan Program, Graduate School of Business; a member of the board of councilors for the School of Architecture, University of Southern California; and a member of the board of governors for Shawnigan Lake School on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Professionally, Stephen is a licensed architect from the State of California with a master's degree from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, where he was a Sloan Fellow, and a bachelors in business administration and architecture, both from the University of Southern California.
