Samuel Shih

Mr. Samuel Shih (Sam) joined PepsiCo Investment (China) Ltd. on April 2012 as chief executive officer, responsible for the manufacture and sales of PepsiCo Brands within China, including Pepsi Cola, Pepsi Light, Pepsi Max, Tropicana, Mirinda, 7-Up, Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Aquafina, Dole and Lipton. Sam is managing a $2 billion-plus business in China and overseeing a team of over 20,000 employees.

Before joining PepsiCo, Sam was appointed chairman and chief operating officer for Accor Greater China (incl. Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan). Accor, is the world's leading hotel operator and market leader in Europe, is present in 90 countries with 4,200 hotels and more than 500,000 rooms. Accor's broad portfolio of hotel brands includes Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Novotel, Suite Novotel, Mercure, Adagio, ibis, and Motel 6. Prior to that, Sam served as managing director of Red Bull Asia Pacific.

Sam started his career with PepsiCo in 1990 and served the company for more than 18 years. Within his stay, he held various senior management positions in China and the United States.

Sam holds a Master's in Business Administration from Asia International Open University (Macau) and a Bachelor of Science from University of British Columbia.
